Originally from Ireland, I moved to the States for college and received a B.A. in Creative Writing from Ithaca College and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from The New School University. After almost a decade in NYC working as a professional acrobat, I took a slight pirouette and began my career in Higher Education. I joined the Northeastern team in 2017 as an Instructional Designer in the Online Experiential Learning Department. Since then, I have contributed to redesigning the Cybersecurity courses; designed the "Global Experience" course using the Minerva Institute platform known as ALF, in collaboration with the NUin Global programs in London and Berlin; and the "Business Application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" course on the Coursera platform for the D'Amore McKim School of Business, amongst other projects. Currently, I am working on a collaboration between the College of Professional Studies and the D'Amore McKim School of Business to develop 4 Units or Courses focusing on Artificial Intelligence in Finance. These courses will require instructional design, scripting, storyboarding, graphics and video production. Needless to say, I will be busy.
I am interested in enhancing my professional skills so I can contribute to the interactive design aspects of the projects I am assigned. I also believe in continuous education and know that it opens opportunities for future connections.
